We had a scheduled start time of 10 a.m. today but I could see at about 9:30 this group was chomping at the bit, ready to start our day of touring in Paris on this 2nd full day.
We headed over to the Rodin Museum where of course we saw the famous "The Thinker" bronze sculpture that sits in the gardens of Rodin's former home. The interior of the house not only contains sculptures, but there are paintings from Impressionist masters such as Monet. The gardens are still beautiful, even in October.
A short walk across the street is Napoleon's Tomb. It is a grand domed building completed in 1840 to honor the Emperor of the World of course and it is also the final resting place of some of France's greatest war victors.
Last on the itinerary today was the Musee d'Orsay. Some people consider this the greatest museum in the world. It is full of Impressionist works, sculpture and the setting, a former train station, is more than impressive.

I am so jealous, it sounds like everyone is having a great time and it brings back so many memories of my trip in May of 2009 with my 13 year old granddaughter. I would love to join you on one of your trips in the future, however, my second granddaughter who is turning 13 this year has narrowed down her choices to either Spain or Ireland. Do you know anyone who does what you do in either of those two countries? It would be great if you did? Enjoy the rest of your trip and safe travels home.

Hi Karen,
Thanks for your comments.
We only travel with adults. I think you might find something with a company like EFTours that will allow parents to travel with minor children.
Good luck!

If you are visiting Paris for the first time, a time share rental is the perfect lodging option – time shares are more spacious than comparable hotels but similar in price.
