Today we got together as a group for the first time. We have travelers from New York, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Canada. Two more travelers from Florida will join us on Tuesday.
We got to know each other and took a metro ride over to the Cathedral of Notre Dame on the Ile de la Cite. It is an impressive sight, with amazing stained glass windows and enough history to fill many textbooks.
We continued over to the infamous prison of the Conciergerie, the final home of Marie Antoinette before she faced the guillotine. The tour is kind of corny, but we enjoyed it.
We had a nice light lunch in the Latin Quarter then headed over to the Conciergerie. This museum holds Monet's water lillies. It was enough to bring as least one of our travelers to tears. I have a great job in being able to help people attain their dreams of seeing some of the greatest art and culture in the world.
We went to an authentic dinner in the St. Germain area of Paris. After that, it was a cool but enjoyable moonlit cruise down the Seine River as we got in just before midnight.

Do you mean Orangerie instead of Conciergerie in the fourth paragraph? Anyway, the job you are doing in being able to help people attain their dreams of seeing some of the gretaest art and culture in the world, should be extended also to all the people- me included- that read your blog.Thanks.
