I've been in Chicago for the past two days (and that will be the subject of another Paris blog). While I was away I got an e-mail that said "I hope I'll see you this Sunday and Gramercy Flute for the Ladies Who Love Paris Party!...There will be $8 Kir Royals and drawings to win free books including Chic Shopping Paris (Rebecca Magniat) Paris, Wish You Were Here (edited by Christopher Meason), and advance publication copies of What French Women Know by Debra Ollivier".
As soon as I got in the door from Chicago, I drove into Manhattan. I met Jamie Cat Callan, author of the very successful "French Women Don't Sleep Alone". She has been a guest blogger on this website. Jamie loves Paris almost as much as I do and it was a pleasure to meet her. She accepted my invitation to blog again on travelingprofessor.com.
I also met Jill Jonnes who has got a great book out on the Eiffel Tower. You may know Heather Stimmler-Hall who runs her own popular blog, The Hidden Secrets of Paris (http://www.secretsofparis.com/) and has also written the successful Naughty Paris: A Lady's Guide to the Sexy City. Heather is an ex-pat who has been living in Paris for quite a while now. She is a very interesting and charming young lady. I envy her for being able to live an Paris and pursue her passion for writing and living the Parisian lifestyle.
I also met some authors who have some great ideas for Paris guide books. I can't reveal what those ideas are, but it's nice to know that there are people out there who want to write and tell us just about every detail we want to know about Paris. All in all, it was just great to meet up with other who have just as much of a passion (or perhaps even more of a passion) for Paris than I do.
Here is a summary of the authors who were at the party and their works:
Jamie Cat Callan - French Women Don't Sleep Alone: Pleasurable Secrets to Finding Love (Citadel, March 2009)
Jill Jonnes - Eiffel's Tower: And the World's Fair Where Buffalo Bill Beguiled Paris, the Artists Quarreled, and Thomas Edison Became a Count (Viking, May 2009)
Heather Stimmler-Hall - Naughty Paris: A Lady's Guide to the Sexy City (Fleur de Lire, September 2008)
Ellen Williams - Historic Restaurants of Paris (Little Bookroom, January 2001), Impressionists' Paris (Little Bookroom, January 1999), and Picasso's Paris (Little Bookroom, January 1999).

Seeking a bit of timeshare relief can be very easy if you find the right people to help you. If you have tried to sell a timeshare in the past, you know that the resale market is dead and the only way to cancel a timeshare is through the right people.
