The most common question I get about visiting Paris is "where do I eat?". The Links page lists some of my favorite restaurants, including Chartier, Aux Lyonnais and Le Pre Verre. There is also a link to the Paris Bistro Index which suggests and reviews scores of good eating spots. Looking for bars? It's there under the Paris Dining/Drinking section.
I only have 2 hotel reviews, but there are some references to reliable and honest apartment rental agencies. In my book, "The Traveling Professor's Guide to Paris", I write "never rent an apartment that you don't have a recommendation for or from someone you don't know". Well, now you know someone and you are getting a recommendation.
There are a variety of links to newspaper articles, mostly from the New York Times, on articles of interest. I still refer to "Does the Affordable Paris Bistro Still Exist? Oui!" written by Mark Bittman and published in the NY Times several years ago. There are excellent articles on how to phone home inexpensively and how to save fees and money by using your credit card in Paris. I have also written 2 very useful articles on how to get from the airport into Paris and what to pack for your Paris trip.
The "Miscellaneous" section is the catch-all section of the Paris "Links" page. There is a link to planning your flight to Paris, tour programs, the Jim Haynes dinner. One TravelingProfessor.Com just commented to me that she found the information on "Paris Art Squats" to be very useful.
Lastly, I list some other good Paris travel blogs on the site.
